Aurora

Aurora Aksnes was born on June 15th, 1996 in Stavanger and is known professionally as Aurora often stylized in uppercase in the form of AURORA is a Norwegian musician and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15th, 2015 and received great reviews from musicians and music blogs as well as press. The singer has made two covers that have been viewed by the world's media: Half the World Away by the group Oasis in a commercial for Christmas by John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. Katy Perry, who endorsed the song Runaway through her music, offered her the track a little more attention. Celebrate her special day. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was when she discovered a piano within her loft and being attracted by its sounds. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes encouraged Aurora to take up music. Not for the purpose of a career or as hobby but in order to grow. To achieve this, she began writing original compositions. Her sources include renowned authors Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan along with her attraction to Bjork's style. She began performing her songs publicly when her mother suggested that they might help others not be famous with the work she does, but to help the people around them understand their own importance and how they can affect the world. When she was six she began to learn the piano. At age nine, she was writing music. She didn't tell her family about her musical journey until she was 14. Aurora wasn't a dream. According to her, she likes to write songs. She believes that music is the ideal way to be able to feel everything.
